Wheel of Salmonella

In light of the recent salmonella peanut butter outbreak, I could not resist bringing the Wheel up to the front page. At first, health officials alarmed us not to consume raw dairy which was highly suspected to be the cause. It was funny, because the map showed no cases reported in Holmes County, Ohio, where more raw milk is consumed than probably anywhere in the country!

  1. Most people who consume raw milk obtain it from a local farmer they know and whose milking practices are stringent, unlike the factory farms where dairy cattle stand in their own excrement and lack access to grass for foraging, along with being fed antibiotics and GMO corn. Ugh!

  2. Now its pistachios and the culprit and it is being suggested the culprit may be raw nuts!
